- 틀에서 캐스팅한 기물이 자세히 들여다 보면 조금씩 다르다. 물레성형을 통한 부드러운 손자국은 미묘한 변화를 주면서 틀이 주는 형태의 긴장감을 완화시킨다. 캐스팅 기법과 물레성형기법을 연결하였고 각 제작기법만이 가지는 장점을 연결하였다. 틀 성형만이 줄 수 있는 단단함과 차가운 느낌, 그리고 손 성형만이 표현 할 수 있는 부드러움을 동시에 느낄 수 있도록 디자인한다. 나는 석고로 제작하는 원형과 틀 제작, 성형에 이르는 모든 과정이 흥미롭다. 나만의 제작법이 새로운 틀 성형방법의 시작이 되기를 기대해 본다.

- If you look at her mold casted vessels, you fill fine that no two pieces are exactly alike. Soft handprints left by wheel throwing create subtle changes to each piece, reducing tensions of forms brought of forms brought by casting mold. I connected casting and wheel throwing techniques. I design my works such that hardness and coldness which can only be possible with casting and the softness that can be expressed by only hand building can be felt at the same time. I am interested in every process of ceramic making, from producing casted mold to building shapes. Traditional techniques had a starting point, and I hope that my production technique will be the start of a new casting mold method.
